SUMMER

Summer, sun, forests, woods, Alpine peaks, nature - every day the mountain and its immediate environment has something new for you. In the morning take the lift to start your hiking tour, in the afternoon meet up with friends for a convivial drink or bite to eat in a mountain hut. The Katschberg nature and walking paradise has lots of different activities to offer: from Nordic walking tracks to nature trails. With just under 600 km of properly waymarked cycle tracks, biking enthusiasts will be in seventh heaven. If you want to get out and about with the whole family or perhaps with other sports enthusiasts − then you will find just what you want here!
Horse-riding fans also have plenty of opportunities to pursue their hobby here. There's a riding stable on site. Other summer attractions, apart from the walks in the Pölla valley nature conservation area, include the fascinating flora of the Valley of the 1,000 Orchids (Wolfsbachtal), botany tours with a guide, herb walks and the abandoned mines (gold and arsenic).
